Nic Cage and Werner Herzog join forces for an outrageous story about a cop in post-Katrina New Orleans who’s more involved in drinking, drugs, and prostitutes than he is in upholding the law. The film is kind of serious and very violent, but there’s no doubt that most of it is intended to make you laugh – even if you’re squirming while doing it. Best line of dialogue: “Shoot him again. His soul is still dancing.”
